Responsibilities:
- Identify psychological, emotional or behavioral issues
- Diagnose psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes
- Help define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment for patients
- Monitor progress through regular meetings or sessions
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience as a Clinical Psychologist
- Have previously worked in a correctional facility healthcare setting.
- Active license as a Psychologist in the State of California.
- You must obtain a doctoral degree in psychology, either a PhD or PsyD, from a school or university training program that is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) or recognized by a regional accrediting body.
- The program should adhere to APA guidelines for clinical psychology. Alternatively, you can provide evidence of acceptance of a doctoral dissertation and fulfillment of all other prerequisites for a PhD or PsyD from an APA-approved program or a regionally accredited institution that follows APA guidelines for clinical psychology.
- One year of supervised clinical experience in a pre-doctoral and postdoctoral APA- approved internship program or its equivalent (e.g. APPIC or CAPIC member programs).
