Responsibilities:
- Attend to assigned patient personal care needs promptly, reporting any inability to complete tasks to the primary care nurse.
- Ensure patient safety, utilizing equipment properly (e.g., foot stools, side rails, O2).
- Provide personal care, including baths, oral hygiene, and bed linen changes as instructed.
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing according to assignments.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping when required.
- Aid in feeding patients as directed.
- Record vital signs and measurements accurately, reporting any changes to the supervisory nurse.
- Monitor and prevent skin breakdown, particularly over bony areas.
- Report patient conditions and significant changes, acknowledging interpersonal issues within the patient's environment.
- Assist with ambulation, exercises, and other therapy tasks as instructed by primary care nurses or therapists.
Qualifications:
- Has at least three months of Home Health Aide experience
- Has a passion for the job and a genuine desire to help others
- Physical Test and a TB Test (taken within one year)
- CPR or BLS Certification
- Driver's License or State ID
- Background Check
- COVID Vaccination Card
